So Red Dead Redemption is a good game. Finally got it, Game of the Year Edition and it is awesome. If anyone has seen any good westerns (such as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly as well as the rest of that trilogy) then like me you will be living out a lot of childhood dreams. I have been following the story but I just find myself roaming off trying to be some random vigilante and the environment is so beautiful. It gives the illusion of being in an actual desert.

I recently played Dragon Age 2 but… Well the first one was better. Not that 2 didn’t have good features. The companion system is way better and the combat has some improvements but with bio ware I am a big fan of their older works. Sometimes I still make a play through of Jade Empire or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. But they do have that whole format/genre of RPG nailed down really well. Another Jade Empire would be a big win with me <3

I like to watch really random films and I recently watched “The Breed“. Bare with me now, it wasn’t all bad. Sure it was just another horror film but it had some good plot elements to it. It actually inspired me to write up an idea for a short repeatable RPG on an Island but we will see if I get around to that. It would be like a Choose your Own Adventure. Those books were cool.

As for the Thing 2 I am now on level 10 of 12 for Original Mode. I started work in September 2011 on a sequel to a quick RPG I made in 2010 which did way better than I thought. Anyway the original plan was to make a Tactical RPG style game but when Vx Ace came out in March (well before when i saw it really) I knew that I just had to use that. The game has come a long way and I fell short with a October 2012 release. I am trying my best to do it right and in between going to work and other stuff I only get 3 days a week to work on it. Granted I don’t work on it for 24 hours a day either, more likely around 4 to 6, sometimes 8 if i am in the zone. Anyway as it looks the game in my opinion is pretty good. I enjoy playing it, it is a fight for survival and it is well very hard. I have Story Mode, Survival Mode and the Foundations for Extra Content / DLC Mode to do (after Original Mode) so it may take a while. It is nearly coming to the date the project was first started (15th March) which will mark 1 year in development. What I have done so far does not look like a years work but these things take time. I hope to have Story Mode done by the end of May. Then what is left should not take too long, I want to say October 2013 release date but.. I’m not going to put a deadline down here.
