The Thing 2 RPG *Spoiler Free* Story Mode Endings Guide.

Story Mode is unique in that it has 5 different endings (+2 Bonus Endings). Below is a spoiler free list detailing the conditions required to unlock the ending and what relic rewards you unlock.
It is worth noting that any relics found can be saved to a newgame+ file upon completion and carried over if they remain in the save file(s) data. (They can be retrieved from relic crates: NewGame+ Item Locations Guide)

The Main Ending

Ending #1, The Truth

During the “Airstrip” scene you need to refuse any offers the “General” makes with you during the “Meeting”.
Unlocks: “Blake’s Report” Relic

Ending #2, The Sacrifice

There is a moment towards the end of the game where you choose to kill or spare one of the US Army Generals.
If you choose to “Spare Him” then you will ALWAYS get this ending no matter what choices you make during the final “Airstrip” “Meeting” Scene.
Unlocks: “Environment Suit”

Ending #3, The Heroes

During the “Airstrip” scene you need to agree to retrieve the “Samples” for the “General”.
You then need to get the “Samples” and return them to the “General”.
Unlocks: “Medal of Honor”

Ending #4, The Takeover

Fail to check who boards the rescue plane…
Note: If the conditions for “Ending #2” are met then you will get that ending instead of this one.
Unlocks “Prototype Vest”

Ending #5, The Agreement

During the “Airstrip” scene you need to agree to retrieve the “Samples” for the “General”.
You then need to destroy the “Samples” and return to the “General” and accept his “Counter Offer”.
Unlocks: “Gen Inc Data Disk”

The Bonus Ending(s)

Bonus #1, An Old Enemy

To get this ending you need to meet the following conditions:
1) You are playing a NewGame+ Game (The Save File has “Beat” a gamemode before)
2) Your difficulty level is Normal or higher
3) You are playing a Marathon Game (Where you beat Original Mode and go Straight into Story Mode after)
4) You get Main Ending #1, #3 or #5
Unlocks: “????’s Jacket” & Cheat Codes

Bonus #2, A Secret Deal

To get this ending you need to meet the following conditions:
1) You are playing a NewGame+ Game (The Save File has “Beat” a gamemode before)
2) You have previously beaten ‘Prequel Mode’ and gotten the Bonus Ending (This must be saved to your file)
3) You find “Jose” in Story Mode and make sure he SURVIVES until the End
4) You get Main Ending #1, #3 or #5
Unlocks: The very last page in Blake’s Notebook & “Tuxedo”
